SILHOU8

About Silhou8

Worn before. Chosen again.

One-of-one pieces from designers worth keeping, photographed honestly, measured for real, and verified before listing.

Our story

Silhou8 started with a wardrobe that had gotten too good to let go of quietly. Alexa spent years buying and actually wearing designer pieces like Celine, Balenciaga and YSL, and kept running into the same problem on resale sites: bad photos, guessed sizes, and no way to tell whether a “good condition” listing was actually good.

Silhou8 is the site we wished existed. Every piece is chosen by hand, not sourced in bulk. We buy from people who took care of their clothes, and pass on the ones who didn’t. If we wouldn’t wear it ourselves, we don’t list it.

Based in London. No warehouse, no drop-shipping.

How we curate

Everything on Silhou8 comes out of my own wardrobe. Many years of buying pieces I actually loved, from Margiela, Tom Ford, Gucci, Saint Laurent, Balenciaga and Louis Vuitton, and wearing them properly, not just hanging them up as an investment.

That’s what “curated” really means here: I’m not sourcing from strangers, I’m deciding what to let go of from my own closet. And because I’ve worn everything myself, the condition notes aren’t guesswork.

Not everything goes. If it’s still something I’d reach for, it stays in my closet. What ends up on the site is what I’m truly ready to pass on, not what I’m trying to offload.
